Charlie Rice studied graphic design at Bath Academy of Art. He has always wanted to paint and create pictures which he is now realising since retiring from work three years ago.
He has been greatly influenced by his tutors Michael Craig Martin & Howard Hodgkin, who inspired his love of colour.
In November 2019 he had his first solo show at The Lounge Bar, Brixton, his work reflects on his concerns for the environment, from the rain forest fires in the Amazon, to fracking in the UK.
He has previously exhibited in group shows at the first Brixton Bugle Summer Show held in the Tate Library in Brixton and at Sprout Arts Tootopia exhibition.
